Dental Assistant

Job Description
Perform chair-side assisting of dentist, clinical support services and assigned related work under the direct supervision of the Dental Director.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions: Assist dentist chair side during patient procedures within the scope of general dentistry using four handed delivery techniques. Proficient in taking clinically diagnostic digital X-rays, and maintain equipment as outlined in safety manual and radiation safety manual. Sterilize, disinfect, and maintain instruments and operations according to OSHA and clinic protocols. Perform daily start-up and close-down procedures in operatories and lab. Set-up and clean-up operatories, materials, and equipment needed for dental procedures Take patient blood pressures and record in chart. Accurately chart results of oral exam as instructed by provider. Perform child prophylaxis, fluoride treatment, and place sealants. Take alginate impressions, pour and trim models, and prepare cases for outside lab. Monitor nitrous oxide administered by provider. Perform oral hygiene instructions. Handle and dispose of infectious and hazardous waste according to clinic protocols. Answer phone, screen calls, confirm appointments, and do recall as needed. Order and inventory supplies, and perform inventory audits as scheduled. Attend staff meetings and contribute to planning and workflow of dental clinic. Have respect, courtesy and great rapport with patients and staff.
Qualifications
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Certificate of graduation from an accredited dental assisting school. Maintain a current active registration in dental assisting in the state of Minnesota. Previous work experience desirable. Clinical fluency in Spanish preferred. Expanded functions preferred. Desire to work within a dental public health center.

Licensed Social Worker, MSW, LICSW

Job Description
The Psychiatric Social Worker works closely with patients to provide therapy, social rehabilitation, crisis intervention and outreach services. Assure care of all ages is optimized with a special emphasis on the social service needs of patients. Special focus will be on ?in the moment? crisis resolution with patients. May also offer individual and group therapy sessions to patients, instruct other mental health staff in therapeutic techniques, provide crisis interventions, arrange for services from referral agencies and help patients ease back into the community after leaving inpatient programs. Patient and community outreach, customer service and specific program initiatives will occur as needed and as time permits.
Responsibilities
Conduct interviews in order to determine the appropriate services to offer patients and their families. Develop care plans that include counseling, support services, treatment methods and referrals. Reviewing care plans as necessary with patients and make changes to the care plans as necessary. Explain treatment plans to patients and their families, maintaining patient records, preparing reports, monitoring progress toward treatment goals and conducting annual reviews of active treatment plans. May also offer individual and group therapy sessions to patients, instruct other mental health staff in therapeutic techniques, provide crisis interventions, arrange for services from referral agencies and help patients ease back into the community after leaving inpatient programs. Improve patient outcomes, and deliver quality care within practice areas as assigned. Ensure all clinical care and care coordination is delivered in a manner that meets or exceeds goals and expectations for clinical outcomes, quality assurance standards, and patient satisfaction. Participates in quality strategies to evaluate compliance with behavioral health standards and Perform an assessment based on the patient?s diagnosis, reason for entry into system and care needs. Plan, perform, delegate and evaluate the delivery of services. Ensure all patient charts and related documentation are maintained current and relevant at all times.
Qualifications
Education MSW degree; LICSW, LISW, or LGSW degree and licensure in the state of MN Must be licensed and able to bill for services. Certifications/Licenses Must maintain supervision practice agreement with a LICSW until the 3000 practice hours have been completed and the test for LICSW has been completed. At least 5 years of experience working directly with patients Spanish Speaking highly preferred.

Strong interpersonal/customer service skills; ability to develop strong relationships with patients and coworkers.
