Job Description
This position checks in patients for appointments and registers Gathers, verifies, and inputs information into the practice management system. Directs patients and visitors,and schedules follow up appointments as needed. This is a temporary, part time position working from 7:30am to 12:30pm, Monday thru Friday, from February though July 1, 2010.
Responsibilities
Some of the essential functions are as follows. Check in patients, verify and update demographic and insurance information. Collect co-pays and schedule follow up appointments using accurate visit codes. Provide continuous customer service. Work with patients and their families to obtain proper documentation, verify information, and to determine the correct method of payment based on a sliding fee scale. Verify insurance as needed. Maintain lobby and patient areas in neat and orderly manner
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED
Experience working with insurance, billing and patient registration preferred. Strong Customer Service Skills Required Spanish speaking strongly preferred.
Position Details
Temporary Full Time Position. Monday through Friday with some evenings and Saturdays (8am-12pm) Starting date: A.S.A.P.

Front Desk Receptionist EVENING position SPANISH SPEAKING REQUIRED

Job Description
This position registers patients, gathers and verifies demographic and insurance information,and inputs information accurately into the practice management system, Excellian (EPIC). Directs patients and visitors and schedules follow up appointments as needed. This position also involves, but is not limited to, monitoring the cancellation line, making reminder calls and cancellation calls, monitors failed and cancelled appointments all while providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
Check in patients, update demographic information,verify and input required data,and verification of insurance information. Collect co-pays and schedule follow up appointments using accurate visit codes. Provide continuous customer service. Monitor the cancellation line and make appropriate changes to provider schedules and in practice management system. Communicate cancellations and fails to the appropriate team. Makes daily appointment reminder calls. Takes accurate, legible messages and forwards to the appropriate team. Forward all symptom based calls to the triage nurse line. Work with patients and their families to obtain proper documentation, verify information, and to determine the correct method of payment based on a sliding fee scale. Work diplomatically with patients whose expectation of their payment is less than the required payment. Work with patients to fill out appropriate paperwork if eligible for insurance or other payment assistance programs. Verify insurance as neede Act as a resource and a liaison between the front desk, information desk and the provider teams to assist with problems that arise. Initiate communication with other teams/departments to resolve issues. Maintain work area, lobby and patient areas in neat and orderly manner. Maintain confidentiality of all employee, patient, and other privileged information regarding UFM business activities and according to HIPAA standards. Maintain the highest standards of ethics and integrity in the performance of job duties and responsibilities.
Qualifications

Position Details

Job Description
United Family Medicine has a unique opportunity for an LPN, CMA or a RMA. This position will be trained to schedule, register and provide advocacy to compliment their clinical skills. Rooming patients for variety of providers. 3-5 years Experience working in a clinic required. Provide high quality and efficient direct patient care services including rooming patients, completing vitals, administrative duties, stocking and cleaning and customer service. Various positions available. All positions required to work 1 evening a week until 8:00pm and an occasional Saturday from 8:00am to 1:00pm.
Responsibilities
Rooming patients including taking vital signs, history, and preparing patient and equipment to be seen by the provider. Performs routine procedures including EKGs, audiograms, vision and hearing screenings, ear irrigations, TB skin tests, inspirometry and assisting with minor surgery and other procedures. Administers medications and vaccinations per provider order.
Qualifications
Licnesed Practical Nurse Preferred or a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with 5 plus years experience in ambulatory care. LPN licensure required Previous clinical experience at UFPHC strongly desired. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.

Telephone triage and assistance with clinical paperwork, prescription refills and other miscellaneous nursing duties.
Responsibilities
Telephone triage- answer patient questions as needed. Triage walk in patients and assist with scheduling them for appointments. This position may be asked to help cover RN staffing needs for vacations and on high demand days.
Qualifications
RN with current MN licensure and atleast two years of clinical or related nursing experience. Prefer ambulatory care experience (and one year of specialty care experience when applicable). BLS certification and current MN nursing license. Job Description
Perform chair-side assisting of dentist, clinical support services and assigned related work under the direct supervision of the Dental Director.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions: Assist dentist chair side during patient procedures within the scope of general dentistry using four handed delivery techniques. Proficient in taking clinically diagnostic digital X-rays, and maintain equipment as outlined in safety manual and radiation safety manual. Sterilize, disinfect, and maintain instruments and operations according to OSHA and clinic protocols. Perform daily start-up and close-down procedures in operatories and lab. Set-up and clean-up operatories, materials, and equipment needed for dental procedures Take patient blood pressures and record in chart. Accurately chart results of oral exam as instructed by provider. Perform child prophylaxis, fluoride treatment, and place sealants. Take alginate impressions, pour and trim models, and prepare cases for outside lab. Monitor nitrous oxide administered by provider. Perform oral hygiene instructions. Handle and dispose of infectious and hazardous waste according to clinic protocols. Answer phone, screen calls, confirm appointments, and do recall as needed. Order and inventory supplies, and perform inventory audits as scheduled. Attend staff meetings and contribute to planning and workflow of dental clinic. Have respect, courtesy and great rapport with patients and staff.
Qualifications
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Certificate of graduation from an accredited dental assisting school. Maintain a current active registration in dental assisting in the state of Minnesota. Previous work experience desirable. Clinical fluency in Spanish preferred. Expanded functions preferred. Desire to work within a dental public health center.

Job Description
This position provides clinical mental health care to patients in an outpatient setting. The psychologist will assess clients and provide treatment utilizing short‐term Evidence Based Practices (EBP). As a member of the UFM provider team, the psychologist is expected to be familiar with the philosophy, goals and objectives of the UFM and work collaboratively to achieve them. He/she must be cognizant of, and comply with, all UFM policies and procedures, as well as pertinent state and federal regulations.
Responsibilities
Patient Care 100% Provide mental health screenings and initial assessments to medically‐referred and other clients. Provide short‐term, structured, evidence‐based psychotherapy as part of an appropriate treatment plan. Coordinate and collaborate with the primary care providers to improve health outcomes. Facilitate referrals to other services (e.g. substance abuse treatment, specialty care and community resources) as needed. Collaborate with other clinic providers on challenging cases. Provide clinical therapeutic services to patients, including individual and group therapy and coordination of treatment for participants with co‐occurring disorders. Provide crisis intervention as needed. Work to meet patient needs effectively and resolve individual barriers through follow‐up, advocacy and collaboration with UFM staff and other community service providers. Maintain accurate and timely records of activities, case management notes, and services provided to each client on the UFM electronic health record. Participate in and/or facilitate Provider, Quality Improvement, and other meetings. Provide regular updates to the Medical Director. Strive to meet UFM productivity targets. Qualifications
Masters or doctorate degree is psychology or social work.
