Job Description
United Family Medicine has a unique opportunity for a CMA/RMA or LPN. Rooming patients for variety of providers. 3-5 years Experience working in a clinic required. Provide high quality and efficient direct patient care services including rooming patients, completing vitals, administrative duties, stocking and cleaning and customer service. All positions required to work 1 evening a week until 8:00pm and an occasional Saturday from 8:00am to 1:00pm.
Responsibilities
Rooming patients including taking vital signs, history, and preparing patient and equipment to be seen by the provider. Performs routine procedures including EKGs, audiograms, vision and hearing screenings, ear irrigations, TB skin tests, inspirometry and assisting with minor surgery and other procedures. Administers medications and vaccinations per provider order.
Qualifications
Certified or Registered Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse with 5 plus years experience in ambulatory care. LPN licensure required. CMA or RMA certificate needed or must receive within 6 months of hire. Previous clinical experience at UFPHC strongly desired. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.
Position Details
Permanent Full Time position available. Some Evening hours and saturdays required. Starting date: A.S.A.P.

Clinical Lab Technician/ CLT or MLT with X-ray .8

Job Description
Responsible for the collection, processing and testing of specimens. This job must be performed with strict adherence to the quality control and quality assurance policies of this clinic in order to provide the patients and providers with the most accurate and timely test results possible. Adherence to OSHA and CLIA (through Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, formerly known as HCFA) requirements is mandatory. Provide X-ray coverage on a limited basis.
Responsibilities
Perform tests authorized by the clinic lab director and follow all procedures for each test performed. Record and report each test following laboratory policy. May perform moderate complexity testing with or without phlebotomy. Perform and document all needed instrument maintenance. Perform and document all QC on each test system before patients are tested. Follow established procedures when a test system is not within previously defined acceptable levels of performance. Identify and document problems, which may adversely affect test performance or reporting of results and immediately correct or notify lab supervisor. Participate in the Quality Assurance Plan of the lab by documenting all problems and issues that could affect the quality of patient testing or patient/provider service. Follow up on all problems and notify lab supervisor. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Clinical Lab Tech II (Cert): Graduate of an accredited program with ASCP, NCA or equivalent certification or certification pending or grandfathered into an ASCP, NCA or equivalent category. Must have graduated from an MLT (CLT) or MT (CLS) program (may be a CLA or MLA with 5+ years experience). Performing moderate or high complexity testing with or without phlebotomy.

Dental Assistant

Job Description
Perform chair-side assisting of dentist, clinical support services and assigned related work under the direct supervision of the Dental Director.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions: Assist dentist chair side during patient procedures within the scope of general dentistry using four handed delivery techniques. Proficient in taking clinically diagnostic digital X-rays, and maintain equipment as outlined in safety manual and radiation safety manual. Sterilize, disinfect, and maintain instruments and operations according to OSHA and clinic protocols. Perform daily start-up and close-down procedures in operatories and lab. Set-up and clean-up operatories, materials, and equipment needed for dental procedures Take patient blood pressures and record in chart. Accurately chart results of oral exam as instructed by provider. Perform child prophylaxis, fluoride treatment, and place sealants. Take alginate impressions, pour and trim models, and prepare cases for outside lab. Monitor nitrous oxide administered by provider. Perform oral hygiene instructions. Handle and dispose of infectious and hazardous waste according to clinic protocols. Answer phone, screen calls, confirm appointments, and do recall as needed. Order and inventory supplies, and perform inventory audits as scheduled. Attend staff meetings and contribute to planning and workflow of dental clinic. Have respect, courtesy and great rapport with patients and staff.
Qualifications
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Certificate of graduation from an accredited dental assisting school. Maintain a current active registration in dental assisting in the state of Minnesota. Previous work experience desirable. Clinical fluency in Spanish preferred. Expanded functions preferred. Desire to work within a dental public health center.

Referral Navigator Spanish Speaker CMA/RMA

United Family Medicine has a unique opportunity for a CMA or a RMA to take on an administrative role working directly with patients on site and over the phone scheduling and processing referrals and patient reminders. United Family Medicine has a an opening for a .8 Referral Specialist position.
Responsibilities
Work directly with patients scheduling and processing referrals and patient reminders. This position will be trained to schedule, register and provide referral advocacy to compliment their clinical skills. This will also include contacting patients for pre visit planning and quality initiatives. Ability to Room patients for variety of providers as needed to understand patient needs. 3-5 years Experience working in a clinic required. Reception/ Interpreter Spanish Speaking

Job Description
This position checks in patients, schedules appointments, answers phones and takes messages as needed. This position also works half time assisting nursing staff with interpreting during the rooming process of a patient visit with providers. Directs patients and visitors,and schedules follow up appointments as needed.
Responsibilities
Some of the essential functions are as follows. Scheduling patient appointment and taking messages. Interpreting for medical appointments and checking in patients for appointments. This includes verifying and updating demographic and insurance information. Collect co-pays and schedule follow up appointments using accurate visit codes. Provide continuous customer service. Work with patients and their families to obtain proper documentation, verify information, and to determine the correct method of payment based on a sliding fee scale. Verify insurance as needed.
Qualifications
At least 1 year experience interpreting for Spanish speaking patients during medical appointments and over the telephone required. High School diploma or GED Experience working with insurance, billing and patient registration preferred. Strong Customer Service Skills Required Spanish speaking required.
Position Details
Full time position working from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. Occasional evening needs may apply as clinic has openings until 8:00 pm Monday though Thursday. Salary: Depends on Experience.
